These
are four Bakersfield College Community Services courses which
are designed to serve individuals with fitness goals that do
not require college credit. All four classes are held at 1801
Panorama Dr, in Bakersfield College's beautiful, spacious dance
room with wooden flooring- room GYM 202, (by the pool, inside,
up two flights of stairs).

Ideally
arrive 3 - 4 minutes before class. Wear comfortable layered
clothing that allows you to move and stretch. Please do not
wear scent to class.

• BASIC
BOOTCAMP
6pm - 6:45pm. A no-nonsense, no whining, no frills workout. Straightforward
cardio & calisthenics. This class works for most levels of fitness,
participants can work at their own pace. Bring water and be prepared
to sweat, get results, get it done.
• EASY
PILATES/YOGA
Mondays & Wednesdays, 7pm - 8pm. Highly recommended. Gently stretches
and strengthens, improves physique, posture and balance, calms, soothes
& relaxes. Bring a yoga mat.
• BOOMER'S
ZUMBA Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6pm -
6:45pm. Moving to latin rhythms such as merengue, salsa, cumbia, samba,
& cha-cha. Dance your way to a fitter you. Designed especially for
the Baby Boomer's in that we keep it simple to follow, easy on the joints
but still high energy & lots of fun. "Ditch the workout and
join the party." Wear athletic shoes and bring water.
• INTERMEDIATE
FUSION Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7pm
- 8pm. Requires some pre-existing strength & flexibility. Takes
mat pilates & flow yoga to another level. Sometimes we use the instructor's
collection of "toys" including BOSU's, stability balls &
hand-weights. Bring a mat.
